What are you working on today?
SEO reports and keyword research for an automotive brand.

What motivates you?
Helping businesses grow their online presence and increase revenue.

Any advice for budding SEOs?

  1. Have a great understanding of the fundamentals of SEO (content, links, keyword research, technical audits etc). This is the bread and butter of SEO.
  2. Understand what the client wants. It’s important to know what they want out of SEO. Most clients will want an increase in revenue, however, some clients just want brand exposure.
  3. Try to avoid technical SEO jargon when talking to clients. Managing directors, marketing directors and project managers don’t care about click depth, redirects, CSS, server-side rendering, etc. Although they are important, you have to remember that you’re probably going to be talking to someone with no SEO or digital knowledge. Educate them as much as you can and expect to do a lot of hand-holding!
